A story about everything that gets in the way

You sit down to work.

You know what you need to do. And somehow . . . you don’t do it.

Not exactly.

You answer a message. Fix something small. Check one thing. It all feels reasonable while you’re doing it. Necessary, even.

By the end of the day, you’ve been busy the entire time. And the thing you meant to do is still sitting there.

Unfinished.

This is a story about exactly that. This is not a guide, not a system.

Just a series of moments you’ll probably recognize.

It follows Denise.

She runs her own business. She’s capable. She knows what she should be doing.

And still . . . her days don’t quite land the way she expects them to. She starts things. Gets pulled into other things. Loses track of what she meant to do.

Nothing is dramatically wrong. But nothing fully resolves either.

If this feels familiar, you’re not alone.

You might recognize yourself here if:

  • you start your day with a clear plan, and it disappears within an hour
  • you check email “quickly” and don’t come back
  • you have things that are almost done . . . for weeks
  • you feel busy all day but struggle to point to what actually moved forward
  • you sit down to do meaningful work and somehow end up doing everything else

This is just a story about someone who you might recognize.

Enjoy
